EXPIRED PREMIUM IMAGES

We recently noticed we have 68 Gigabytes of images on our hard drives! Since most of them are from expired premium accounts, we figured it was time to clean house - or more specifically, to start phasing out images from expired Premium accounts.

If you've:
- ever had Xanga Premium on your account and
- uploaded images from your computer during that time and
- no longer have Xanga Premium...
then your images may expire...

BUT DON'T WORRY - WE'VE GOT YOU COVERED!

We've made sure that you have plenty of time to save or recover any premium images. We're thinking Xangans will have three weeks after Xanga Premium expires:

1. One Week of Free Image Hosting - First, after Xanga Premium expires on your account, we're actually going to give you a full week of free image hosting.

During this week, all your images will keep working, and you'll even have access to your "Picture Files Manager" (it shows a full list of your images, for easy downloading)

plus

2. Two More Weeks of Free Image Storage - After that extra week of free image hosting, your premium images will finally stop working.

However, we will keep a protected copy of your images on Xanga's systems for an additional two weeks, in case you want to reactivate them.

Altogether, we'll make sure you have three full weeks from the day your Xanga Premium expires to save or recover your Premium Images.

During that time, if you've got expired premium images on your Xanga Site that you'd like to keep, please do one of the following:
- Make sure you've got a copy of all these images on your computer (if not, please save them to back to your computer from your Xanga Site)
- Reactivate Your Premium! If you reactivate your Xanga Premium at any time during these three weeks, all your expired images will immediately become active again, and they will keep working on your site.
TWO IMPORTANT NOTES

1. Your Profile Image Will Not Expire - your primary profile image (the one you upload through your "Public Profile" page) will keep working even after your premium images expire.

If you were using multiple profile images while you had Xanga Premium, then your extra profile images will expire as described above. But your primary profile image will keep working.
2. Even if Your Premium Expired a Loooong Time Ago, We've Got You Covered - Even if your Xanga Premium expired a long time ago, you'll have these three weeks we mentioned above, to save or reactivate your premium images.

hmmm well then imma lose a lot because u guys screwed my premium up and my site disappeared and so i had to go and apply for a new one ... so have fun with deleting my images guys *rolls eyes*

Oh, wow. This is just in time, too- my premium runs out next Monday, and I won't be able to re-sub 'til next Friday.

Do you think maybe phasing out the regular xanga pages that aren't being used? It would save a lot of space for you guys. I occasionally stumble across pages that have been vacant since 2001 or something.

Please do not delete mine, as I have updated to premium. I sent the check last week, so hopefully I will have it back soon!!!

p.s. I have no idea how long mine has been run out, as I was NOT notified. When I noticed some things missing on my site, I just thought that xanga was having a problem. Hope my images are still there.

Multiple profile images doesn't seem to work on Xanga premium? All images rotate except the first profile image which keeps coming up with a red 'x' in a box? Any ideas?

yeah, checking for sites that haven't been updated in two years would save alot of space and frustration when browsing around.

while you're doing that.. you should make a feature that allows you to delete accounts. i know of more than 3 people off the top of my head that have moved from xanga to xanga. if they all deleted their old and unused xangas, wouldn't it free up tons of space?
