xTools Version 2.0!
Janet just launched our new bigger and better xTools
. Thanks to everyone who helped us with the beta testing. We made a giant list of all the features you've asked for over the years, and pretty much added them all:
- more smileys
- more colors
- more space to type
- more fonts
- more browsers (Safari, Mozilla, Netscape)
- more confirmation warnings to avoid lost posts
- and a lot more stuff we'll just let you find for yourself
.
If you haven't tried the new xTools yet, just sign in and click "New Weblog Entry". Let us know what you think!
ps if you wish xTools was still a popup, make sure to install our new and improved xtools browser button! It's all popup, all the time...

YAY! whoohoo! **hugs**
Thank you for taking in our suggestions, lots
wowsers! i love the new xanga! it's so easy =D awesome job xanga team membersss hehe
XD
When I go to edit my entries, it's already converted all my line breaks to "" - which, while it works for moving to the next line in the post, is devilishly hard to read when trying to actually edit it (all line breaks in the textarea have been removed).
Also, when I posted an emoticon shortcut, it automatically converted it to an image tag for the emoticon graphic. While, again, this works, I think it could be made much more amicable by preserving the shortcut in the post itself, and applying image changes, say, when viewing an entry (as opposed to making one).
Yeah, I probably should have beta-tested it so these problems would come up then. But... whaddyagonnado. (in case it matters, which it might on the linebreak issue, I'm using Mozilla 1.2.1/Mac OS 9.1)
Otherwise, it looks and functions great. I love having a bigger entry window and not being restricted to a weirdly-functioning pop-up.
Kudos.
"" above should read "< br />" without the first space.

frejaluna - you may dig the "super-size" option available for premium subscribers:

"all pop up all the time" <-- heh.
two things i've noticed (on beta)
1) when i decide to change the background, whatever I've already typed it 'highlighted' in the original background color. Any idea why? (nope...I didn't highlight it to begin with)
2) the font issue. I have all the fonts in my computer but...they don't work on the xtools. they do on other computers (neighbor/work). Using IE but different versions. Mine's 5.5
but...it is fun and i appreciate all the work you "guys" did.
Yay, I (L) Xanga! :) You guys rule!

Very cool! And it works!
