PHOTO XANGA
Ever wish that Xanga supported a photoblog? Janet and Patrick just pushed one into beta testing! Now you get a photo blog that supports captions, tagging, photo privacy (public and private, for now), and date/time editing.

The tagging features are especially cool. You can see all the photos I've tagged with Costa Rica and Paris (yes, I love traveling) or check out all my tags here. To publish photos into your photo blog, just go into your photo manager, click on a photo, and check the box to "include this photo in your photoblog"!

This feature is still in beta, and we haven't yet finished integrating it everywhere on the site (e.g. the editor, site nav, etc.). Also, some of the links for the photo pages might change over the next few days. But we wanted to get your feedback earlier rather than later... so please check it out, and let us know what you think!

Now that is an interesting idea.

I'll be honest the picture adding feature on the regular blog could use some work in general, but I'm willing to give this photo xanga idea a chance.

You know what will make all the difference in the world?

Add a feature to import your photos and commentary from flickr and other sites like that.

oh! and it would be cool to have the option of going to the "next" or "previous" photo when "editing your photo" instead of having to go back to the entire manager.

I'm loving all of the new features and all but when do we get to customize all of our colors and everything on them? I know that they are new but i think that it'd be fun to be able to customize them as well. I'm looking forward to a 'photo' tab on my Dash board. Oh and while I'm thinking about it, can we be able to put our phots in a certain order on our sites...just wondering. Looking For More soon! Keep up the great work!

I hope this is not a way that every photo we have ever uploaded is now available for perusal. If so, I hope that the default setting is PRIVATE so that we can select which ones to show. Other than that, it looks like a flickr clone to me, and I enjoy flickr.
