XTOOLS UPDATE FOR XP SP2
We've gotten word that "Microsoft is introducing a set of security technologies that will help improve Windows XP-based computers' ability to withstand malicious attacks from viruses and worms."
The problem is, Microsoft's new OS doesn't like our rich text editor... which explains why we've been getting emails like these from XP SP2 beta testers:
- Every post I try to make using the rich text editor I get this error. "You forgot to enter a new weblog entry".
- When I go to post on my own Xanga.... It says Copycontent Error [object error]. Whats wrong?
Janet has already found a fix
- she's updated the xTools code to work with the new Windows Update, and we've put a copy of this new code on our beta testing site. Could you please try the new xTools code and let us know if it works?Just sign into the following link, click "New Weblog Entry" and see if xTools works for you (please try *all* the buttons in your xTools, to make sure they all work):
Note: any updates you make on the beta site will be published to your live site.
P.S. We're not gonna roll this beta code until we're sure it works for everyone... if it checks out on beta, then we'll push it to the live site. And in case you're wondering, this security update from Microsoft is totally unrelated to the recent security fixes we implemented for javascripts on Xanga.
Even if you use Netscape or Opera or Safari, please give the new code a try and let us know if it works.
Thanks!

i tried ba that dont work:'((
t k peace
all buttons worked more me, except that the border and fill color buttons produced a runtime error after i closed those windows.
btw, would it be possible that the font selector stay on the last font chosen? that way one could highlight text and simply scroll down to see the different fonts without going to the drop down box over and over again.
